Moving into the White House doesn’t mean that the Bidens don’t make time for date night.

During a guest appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, First Lady Jill Biden revealed that she and her husband, President Joe Biden, still prioritize quality time together amid their busy new lives in the White House. According to Dr. Biden, the two have nightly dinner dates together—sans cell phones—which she said helps bring them together as a couple.

“He’s so busy, I’m so busy, but we do keep dinner,” said Dr. Biden during the interview. “And we have dinner together, no phones, the phones have to be off. … We just sit and talk for a while, and then he has to go back to work into the night and I’m grading papers.”

Dr. Biden also shared that she and President Biden maintain their tradition of Sunday dinners together with their entire family, which includes their daughter Ashley, 39; Biden’s son Hunter, 51; and their children’s children. The president also has two late children, his son Beau and infant daughter Naomi, who passed in 2015 and 1972, respectively.

“We try to keep the Sunday night dinners. It’s been a little busy lately. We still do it and the kids look forward to it, and I think traditions really ground kids,” said the First Lady.

She also shared that her granddaughters have picked up on some of her dinner night traditions in their own lives.

“It was funny, recently, my granddaughters called me and they said, ‘Nana,’—you know I love to have a beautiful table with candles and flowers or whatever I can find to put on it—they said, ‘Nana, we’re making our own dinner and we’re doing it Nana style,” said Dr. Biden. “So some of it has permeated [through the family]. I hope that they continue on the traditions too.”
