‘A Journal For Jordan’ Trailer: Michael B. Jordan Leads Denzel Washington-Helmed Romantic Drama

Here is the first teaser trailer for A Journal for Jordan, director Denzel Washington’s romantic drama starring Michael B. Jordan and newcomer Chanté Adams. Watch it above.

Based on a true story, its follow Sgt. Charles Monroe King (Jordan), a soldier deployed to Iraq who begins to keep a journal of love and advice for his infant son. But the horrors of war take their toll. Back at home, senior New York Times editor Dana Canedy (Adams) revisits the story of her unlikely, life-altering relationship with King and his enduring devotion to her and their child.

Washington directs from a screenplay by Oscar-winning Mudbound scribe Virgil Williams, based on the book by Canedy. Washington and Jordan produce alongside Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch. Molly Allen, David Bloomfield, Aaron L. Gilbert, Jason Cloth and Richard McConnell are the EPs.

Sony releases the unrated film from Columbia Pictures and Creative Wealth Media film on December 10 in New York and Los Angeles, with a wide break set for the Christmas weekend starting December 22.
